Dear Valued Clients of Walt’s Doggy Wash,
Both Astrid and I are excited to share some news that has been a long time in the making: Astrid is now the proud owner of Walt’s Doggy Wash!
Astrid and I first met 15 years ago when we both worked at Petco—me as a dog groomer and Astrid as a grooming assistant. I had the pleasure of training her on how to bathe dogs, and little did I know that she would grow to become a talented pet stylist, manage my shop, and ultimately take over as the owner.
It has been amazing to help others grow, and this is just as much a passion of mine as dog grooming is. This industry can be challenging, and finding individuals who share the same passion is rare.
We know you may have questions, with the primary one being: What is changing? The answer is: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, except for Astrid now being the owner of Walt’s Doggy Wash. Astrid has managed the store for over a year and will continue to uphold the same values, passion, work ethic, and customer service that Walt’s has always been known for.
I am beyond thrilled to pass the baton to Astrid and am honored that she will carry on the name.
*Please note that Walt’s Perfect Pups Mobile Grooming will continue to operate under my direction, while Walt’s Doggy Wash will continue to thrive under Astrid.

Meet Astrid!
In-Store Dog Groomer
Hello! My name is Astrid, and I’m 30 years old. I’ve been working in salons for the past ten years. I’ve always been an animal lover since I first learned what animals were as a baby! That love and interest led me to work at Petco, where I started as a bather. It was there that I met Walter, who inspired me to pursue grooming. He taught me to have high standards in my work, and his influence stays with me every day (in a good way!). After Petco, I’ve worked in various salon settings: corporate, private, mobile, house call, and even a dog boarding facility. Each environment has taught me something different, which is something I really love about this job. There’s always more to learn, and I get the chance to improve with every dog I meet! My goal is to provide compassion and care for dogs and their owners. I believe that trust and communication are the foundation of an amazing groomer/client relationship. I can’t wait to meet you all and make your PUPS look PERFECT!

The number #1 complaint for in-store grooming is that the pup is left all day. So inn light of this we guarantee that your pup will be in and out within 2-3 hours.
If you are within 5 mile radius, we provide pickup and drop off services for an additional fee!
